Gallery Transforms to Cooperative,
Seeks New Artists to Join

Call for Artists

The associates of Washington Street Gallery are forming a cooperative that will continue the Gallery’s tradition of exhibiting and selling quality arts and crafts from local artists across the region.

Coverage in the Journal

Our mission for this exciting endeavor is to provide a space where artists and crafters in the West Virginia Panhandle region can create, show, share, sell and teach, thus expanding interest and participation in art in the community.

Our values include high aesthetic standards, sound organization, cooperation, professional development and innovation. We strive to make art welcoming to those familiar and unfamiliar with it while supporting the integrity of both art and artist.

As part of this effort, we are seeking new applications from among the artists and crafters of the West Virginia Panhandle region to join us.  Please see our guidelines for the September jury on this website.

Charles Town shops and restaurants stay will open late on the third Thursdays in June, July and August to encourage residents and visitors to Discover Downtown Charles Town!  The gallery will offer refreshments, chances at winning a gift basket, a Kids Art Corner outdoors, and our wonderful selection of fine local art and crafts.
